CAn anyone give me some advice. I have just been sent a replacement internal modem for my computer, however it looks only slightly different, it won't install properly and then it said my modem was blocked. If it isn't exactly the same size as the original one, will this make a difference?

The physical size of the modem shouldn't make a difference. The drivers will however, did they send you new drivers with the modem? If not you might be able to find the drivers on the internet. Also make sure you uninstall the drivers for your old modem first before you install the new ones. hth

Thanks Sam will try again properly tonight in a stress free environment! I wouldn't mind, but for some unknown reason I have been unable to transfer details onto mils laptop, so am limited as to what I can put on ebay! lol Her laptop is a reconditioned one with no usb port!
