My son wants an ipod nano 2gb for xmas

I know nothing about mp3 players so help!!!!!!!! I have a couple of questions for any techno boffs out there please.......

Why is an ipod so expensive compared to other mp3 players and are they worth the money?

My limit for each of mine at xmas (rembering I do have 3 and so does dp) is £100 but ipod nano costs about £135.  Have tried ebay and they arent really any cheaper on there.....do you know where I could possibly get one a bit cheaper cos funds are very tight this year?

Any advice at all would be appreciated cos I havent got a clue

The reaseon they are so expensive is: they are the best and the main mp3 player avaliable in the uk, they have thier own web site (i tunes) where you can download just about any track/record you can think of,  you can keep your tracklist stored on your p/c and update it as ya please it is also very easy to convert your own cd's and download them onto your ipod

you can get them in a range of colours/sizes and with memories ranging from 2 gig to sixty gig some store photo's aswell where the lesser known brands heve nowhere the sound quality nor the range of accessories that ipod have

hope this helps

mr.c (not a techno geek) i just sell em at work

Thanks for the info Mr C, dont mind spending the money out so much if its worth it, just dont like spending extra for the name if you know what I mean.

Cheers , will just have to see if he nice to me now!
