Bex has installed a spyware toolbar and a spyware virus warning, it's a blue ? that flashes to a red no entry sign, this appears beside the clock on the bottom right of desk top. How on earth do I remove it ?

What make is it? Have you looked in control panel, Add/Remove programmes to see if it is there and remove it that way?

It's not showing up in the add/remove bit. I've no idea what make it is. If I hold the mouse on it, it comes up with Virus Alert ! We don't need it as we have anti virus stuff installed.

Have you tried double clicking on it or right clicking on it to see if it brings up a control panel?

Dosen't work. What comes up is : Your pc is infected, please use antimalware to remove infected programmes.

Have run spybot twice but it's not removing it. I'll msn Andy later see if he can help.

What happens if you right click on it, does it give a context menu of any sort.

FYI most standard A/V programs will not protect you from spyware, mailware and adware, normally additional software is required.

i got spyware software on mine, goes loopy if im having a proper good old mooch on the net...scary stuff
