Hi
My names Lydia. I have a beautiful daughter called Olivia she'll be 1 on 14th oct.
I have suffered from symphysis pubis dysfunction since i was 14 weeks pregnant and am still incapacitated. I'm supposed to be having an operation to fuse my pelvis together.
The good thing about it is I've had all this extra time to watch Olivia grow and develop, I would of needed to go back to work when she was 3 months pregnant for finacial reasons but luckly I'm well insured.
We live in the country and I'm looking forward to being able to take Liv on walks when I'm better.

Hi Lydia. I'm Kim, mum to Rebecca 13, Ruthie 11 and Cameron 4. We live in Norfolk with dh, although I'm originally from Fife. Sorry to hear about your SPD - I too suffer from this, and have done since pg with Ruthie. There are lots of ladies on MMs who suffer from SPD - you'll get lots of understanding, support and advice here.

Hiya hun & welcome to the world of the madmummies!!
I'm Jenny and I live in Ayrshire (Scotland) with my hubby and two wonderful daughters, Caitlin (7yrs) and Megan (4.5yrs).. I too had SPD with my first pregnancy and developed the more severe DSP with my second. I had the plating about 8months after I had Megan but as it wasn't done correctly and didn't work. I'm now waiting on another, bigger op to hopefully, fix it completely... .
You'll find there are a quite a few sufferers on here (all to varying degrees) so if you ever need to talk about hun, we're here!

Hi hun
I have SPD and am awaiting an appointment at a pain clinic, my walking distance is limited so i use a mobility scooter, there are quite a few of us on here so please don't hesitate to shout/moan or let of steam with us.
We all know what it's like without having to explain the pain and the problems we face day to day and sometimes that can make a difference.
I know how hard it is and so does everyone else about feeling like we put on our loved ones too much etc so use us instead and i'm sure you'll soon feel at home.

Hi Lydia
I'm Rachel, I live in Leicestershire with my husband Mike and our three boys Ethan (7), Noah (5) and Joseph (3). Welcome to the site, I hope to see you around.
I suffered from mild SPD with my 2nd pregnancy, and then more severely with my third, but I was one of the lucky ones in that most of my worse symptoms went within a few weeks of Joe being born, so I am left now only with slightly bad hips that I can manage well if I'm careful. I really hope that you find success with the surgery, and am pleased that you have the relief of the insurance and are enjoying watching your lovely daughter grow up.
