Hey ya'll...

Im sitting here shaking with nerves.. and i still have a few weeks to go..

As i have mentioned before, i have been doing really well at TKD (gold at the tournament and double grading,, head now going to explode, lol) a couple of weeks back i was injured.. kicked hard in the rib's which has resulted in a couple of bruised ribs and pulled lower back muscle.. ouchy. I have still been training, taking it easy mind you..

Big cheif boss man said a couple of training sessions ago, not to over do it as im his star pupil and he has big plans for me.. looking at him oddly now, he said im the 2nd person in 10 years to double grade, and a white belt getting a gold at a tournament is pretty amazing... (ok, head really gonna go now) soooo, he then mentioned to me about the british individual championships which is next month.. i have been umming and arrrring over it as i personally don't think im ready.. but i have been told to go for it.. SOOOOOO, 26th of next month, im going to travel 50 odd miles to get my head kicked in.. how sweet is that!!

Just thinking about it is making me shake and my hands are clammy.. i suppose thats the best way to be.. if i wasn't nervous i wouldn't have the adrenalin going on the day..

If i do well at this tournament, i could be off to the british regional chapionships and then to the world championships.. but i doubt i will get that far.. im not that good, pmsl..

So pls wish me luck, i really am going to need it!!! And if anyone has any tips to calm me down, pls let me know..

Wow thats brilliant Nicki well done!!

If your coach has put you forward then you must be brilliant!

Nerves are good as you say for adrenalin - maybe use a slower version of some of your moves to help calm you down - breathing in and out slowly as you do them

I am sure you'll do brilliantly - just take it easy until you have recovered from your injuries

Awwww wow you go girl.... good luck with the championships i'm sure you'll do just fine and even if nothing comes of it, as long as you've tried your best then you've got nothing to loose or be ashammed of.

  I'll be thinking of you....... Hope you find away to calm your nerves soon hun....

Good luck with training and your current recovery, take it easy and try and relax. Hugs hun x

Tell me bout it... its 63 miles to stratford upon avon, need to be there for 9am! plus £25 entrance fee... i need my head read!!! I though £3.50 per training session was a lot just to get hurt (i always come away with summin wrong, last night i bruised a knuckle!)
