"I knew it was too good to be true......."
Hi all
Well today is really turning into a shocker! First as per my previous post, I am in agony with the abdominal pain and I am having to crawl around the house which is very annoying, although to an observer may be quite funny! Thank god I work from home today - lol through the tears!
Now the buyer of my house has pulled out. I can't remember what I have said on here about house move (yes - i know Drs tell me to reduce stress so muggins here decides to move before baby arrives!), anyway quick recap:
- Found out preggers
- current house too small for us two, a child, and ability to work from home
- Not sure how finances wil be when and if I go back to work after mat leave.
- Find a house (that is empty) love it, put an offer in to buy and get confirmation that we can buy the new house without wating to sell this one (ie can mamage the 2 mortgages in the short term, so long as we sell and complete on this one before I go down to the £100ish per week mat pay).
- 1st person who looks at our house 3 weeks ago puts in an offer - yippee!
- Exchanged on new house last Friday - on track to complete this Friday.
- Everything in place to move slowly between 11th and 20th April (ie stress reduced!).
So everything was, I suppose, too good to be true, especially as in parallel I have been managing my own pg problems better and feeling less anxious/depressed.
Have just had an e-mail/call from DP after chasing the estate agent as all had gone quiet on the buying front:
"Right then - the toe rag has pulled out. Apparently a friend of his in Lutterworth said there was a gang war going on near town. How are you supposed to respond to that?! Rob at Haart says he has heard some excuses in his time, but that takes the biscuit… At least we know now and we can crack on."
This is really strange, ok I do not live in the up market area of Leicester, but we have lived here over 11 years and there is no evidence of Gang war fare!! The area is victorian terraced streets with a mix of Students, 1st time buyer types (like us) and older people who have lived here all their lives. The most annoying thing is not being able to park outside our house during the day as people tend to park and then walk to town for work (about 10 15 mins from here)!
Now I am panicking that we will not sell this one in time and if we go ahead and move into the new one as planned next week then once all our furniture has gone this house will look more shabby and will be even harder to sell esp in the current climate.
I have now cried myself a panic attack and I had not had one for 2 weeks, my BP monitor wont even give me a reading and I am so cross with him and myself. Fine I know people pull out but to fob us off for three weeks and then give such a bizarre excuse....he knew we were looking for a reliable quick sale.
Sorry for the rambling rant but I hardly ever get angry and I am at home alone so no one to rant at!
One day I prommise to come on here and tell you everything is great! hopefully this will be in just over a weeks time when I am in the new house and DP has taken control of selling this one!
Wish I could have a ciggie/wine - not missed either that much while pg but today I am sooooooooooo tempted. Don't worry, I will not give in!
