I know council elections are taking place across the country so I wondered who would be voting?

I studied politics at A level and insisted I would always use my vote wisely. But I have got to point where I feel my vote just doesnt count.

I will wait for DH to get home and together we will go down to the voting office and probably call in the pub on the way home - lol

I voted this morning on the way back from the school run.
I do think that many people wont vote because they have the same view thinking its pointless, but if every person makes the effort, instead of moaning about the state of the goverment and their choices..when its too late to do anything about it, then maybe our voices and opinions will be heard!

What?? I never seem to know anything about politics or voting...I have never voted yet, and have no clue how to go about it! I wouldn't know where to look! I don't know any of the political leaders and it's all jargon to me!

Just thinking about it makes me confuddled!

No local elections here today so we couldn't vote.  I always vote, it might feel sometimes like your one vote doesn't count but if everyone actually used their one vote then it would start to count.  The majority of people that vote are over 50 does that mean our generation doesn't care how our country is run, what is done with our money, who we go to war with, who we trade with, what we are doing to the environment, if there is affordable housing, who should go to prison, what laws are passed....
