We have now decided we would like anouther addition to our family. I have been charting my bbt but there is no temperature shift which suggests im not ovulating again ive only been charting for two months i am worried i may need to go on clomid again. I was wondering if any one else has had this happen to them. please help.

Hi Cath! I'm Helen, mum to Ben 2 1/2 and married to Dean. We live in Cottesmore in Rutland.

I should've had probs concieving Ben, having had chemo when I was 13, but I fell straight away, so I can't really help you. I'm sure there are others on here who may havwe had similar happen. I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Just wanted to say Hi and Welcome to Mad Mums!

Hi, and welcome to the site.

I've not had first hand experience of this drug, but a very good friend of mine used it. Because of the problems she had getting pregnant the first time she was put on clomid and became pregnant on the third round. When she decided she'd like anothe baby, she went back to the doctor and was given the clomid again straight away, she didn't have to have a waiting period because of the first time around. This time she got pregnant on the 2nd cycle. She now has 2 healthy little boys. Have you been back to your doctor to discuss the fact that you'd like a second? It may be that you can have the same assistance without having to wait for so long. Did they gove you any idea of whether they expected to the clomid to kick-start your ovulation permanently or just for the time you were taking it? My friend's consultant told her the first time that she'd probably need it again if she wanted to have another baby, but I understand this isn't always the case.

I should get yourself down to the doctors with all your charting info and see what they say. Good luck!

Rachel x

How long are your cycles?  If they are a regular length of between 24 and 36 days then you probably do ovulate if they are longer then you probably don't.  Not everyone gets a temperature shift there are quite a few people that don't.  I have never had to take chlomid as my problem isn't getting pregnant it's staying pregnant.  It took me 4 yrs to fall pregnant with my 2nd daughter but only 6mnths with my son and 3mnths with subsequent pregnancies that didn't last and lead to mc.  Good luck with ttc and let us know how you get on.

I have been to the doctor and he said I might not need to go on clomid again but I havent shown him my bbt charts yet, so that might change his mind thanks again all speak to you soon. cath. x.

Hi there Cath!  Welcome to the group.  I don't have any advice or knowledge for you, but I wanted to say hello!

I'm Carey, mommy to Braeden, 3 years old.  My fiance and I are trying to conceive now as well.  This is only our first month, so I have about 2 weeks to go to see if anything happened.

I wish you the best in becoming pregnant quickly!!!  ttyl
