Hello ladies ,

Im not getting my hopes up but something odd has been going on recently firstly since middle of last week (supposed OV time) my boobs have been really sore to the point where i cant touch them (ouch) and since probably sat ive had a horrid discomfort (down there sorry TMI) and thought today it could be thrush so i left work early and went to boots to get some cansten pills , so we get there and i was to embarresed to go to the counter (there was a man there ) so dh went got all the q's and paid and we left.

In the car i read the leftlet and it said a couple of things course it one being pg so it made me think as to when im due on and i decided to look it up when we got home but i have had cramps and period like pains for the last couple of days ......but when i looked it up im not due on for about a week .

please any advice will be greatful no matter how blunt .

p.s im not sure wether to take the canesten as it says not to if ttc or pg

Hun not sure if this is the best advice but it's my personal experience... i've had reoccurring thrush for over 2 years now and everytime i always get prescribed perserries (sp?) even when pg.

If your not sure wait till tomorrow and ask/call your gp surgery and ask there advice tell them your ttc and you think you have thrush, they might want to see you and check you out or advise you on whats best.

Sorry not much help hun. Good luck xx

When you're ttc, it is best not to take any type of medication if you can help it. Are you certain that it is thrush? I think it would be worth either talking to NHS direct or else making an appointment with your gp. I've never heard of tender breasts being associated with thrush. To relieve the symptoms in the mean time, you would be OK to use some canesten cream just on the 'outside' if you're fairly sure, but I think that as you are ttc, I would avoid taking the tablet. Get some proper medical advice, and let us know how you go.

Hi Becky,

i think you might be pregnant. Did you follow Dr Jonas timings. May be it worked. try not to take any medication if you can avoid.

You can not take the tablets for thrush if you think you might be pregnant.  When I last had thrush and it was after ovulation time I was recommended to use the caneston cream and also the caneston cream suppository but it's best to check with your dr or pharmacist.  If you want a natural remedy then sime live unsweetened yoghurt in the area is wonderful.

Personally I ignore symptoms after ovulating now as I can imagine every symptom that is going.  Unfortunately af symptoms are very similar to early pregnancy symptoms.  It's a good sign to be getting post ovulatory symptoms though as it means you have ovulated and now it's a waiting game until at least 10 days after ovulation.

Fingers crossed your luck is changing but try not to think of it to much as our bodies can be very cruel to us and give us the symptoms we want. The problem is af and early pg have the same symptoms. when can you do an early test?

Wishing you bucket loads of babydust ***********

Don't want to put a dampener on it but last month I had sore boobs and discomfort etc on about day 18.  I tried not to get my hopes up about being pregnant but couldn't help it.  However, 2 days later AF showed up.  How gutted was I?

But you never know.  You may well be pregnant.  Fingers crossed for you.
