Hi girls, wonder if you can help me with this one? I stopped breastfeeding about 6 months ago. allthough i have carried on making milk, a couple of wks ago when i checked i had milk but when i looked today i had colostrum or something like it. Is this normal? i didn't know this happen???

i breastfed jess til she was 14 mths n even up until i got pregnant with jess i could leak milk/collstium and there is 5 yr between them .. my m/w said i cud take soemtihng to dry it all up but i felt ntaure with deal with it n never really a big issue.

Mate it probably is....but please go and get checked to put your mind at ease.

I b/f both my girls...and even now years later if i hear a very ickle baby screaming i get the 'tightning' feeling of my boobs responding.

It could just be taking its time to shut down...but please go and get it checked out......and trust me I wont stop nagging til you do!

I can still leak a clear milky discharge occasionally now. Edward is over 2 and a half and I stopped feeding him at 11 months.

Oh me too, i still leak and get the tight boobs when i hear crying, emotional tv can set me off! But having a warm shower etc also does it too....

I never thought any more of it as it's not bad enough to need pads. If your concerned please go and see your gp or hv which ever you trust and get some answers.

oh right, i hadn't considerd it might be something dangerous. i just thought the milk would stay white. guess better get checked and make sure all's ok. thanks
