Edward is now nearly 11 months (OMG) and I think I have made a huge decision to stop breastfeeding him.

He doesnt drink much milk, one breastfeed in the morn and an 8/9oz bottle at night. I am leaving him over night with mum and dad on sat for first time so he will have a bottle in the morning and am thinking this is the time to do it.

It will be a big step as I love breastfeeding my little man but I think the time is right.

Well done Madz!  I don't know how you lasted for so long, but good for you!  Your litle man has had a brilliant start to life you can't ask for more than that!

Hope you enjoy your own body soon!

aw Madz, well done for bf for so long....

I felt sad the last time I fed Ellie but it soon passed....

I would say it's nice to have your boobs back but quite frankly mine are horrid since I stopped bf!! you're a lot younger than me tho so yours might bounce back nicely lol

Good luck Madz, I'm sure Edward will do fine.  I'm in the same position at the moment with Siowan, she only has two very short breast feeds per day - one morning and one at her bedtime.  She's just turned ten months and I've been worndering how long to carry on for.  I had thought to keep going until her birthday but I think she would actually get more milk if I just gave her cow's milk.  Not going to rush into anything though since she seems quite happy and healthy.

Hope you enjoy getting your boobs back.

Aww you should be thouroughly proud of yourself for lasting so long, i couldnt even manage 11 days let alone 11 months.

If you feel that its time to stop then stop, of course your dp doesnt know what the fuss is over because he hasnt shared that 'special' time of feeding Ed that you have and besides he's a man so its a typical bloke reaction.

Good Luck...i hope its a sucess! and im sure once you fully have your body back you'll enjoy it!
