I have recently purchased the Medela Swing breast pump and I am really really pleased with it. I have put a link to the one it is from the mothercare website below:

I have used a couple of different electric breastpumps... also made by Medela but the Swing is definitely the best.
The Swing is not as noisey as any of the other pumps I have used and it claims to be able to collect the milk more efficiently and quickly than the previous models... I totally agree with this as well. Although everyone's milk flows differently it took me 5 minutes to get 6oz expressed off this morning, in the past it has taken me about 30 - 40 minutes some days... about 20 minutes if I have been really lucky.
The only downside to the pump is probably the price. When you already pay out so much for a baby (especially the first) at £90 they are not cheap. You can buy them on ebay, if you don't mind a second hand one that has only been used a couple of times I have seen them sold on there for about £50 - £60.
If you are seriously thinking of bf for a while and wanted to express I would seriously consider this pump as an option.
