Hi all

I am trying to work out which pram/travel system to buy and I am finding it harder than buying a car!!  I am soooo confused and the review websites vary so much I have not founf them much help.

Partner seems to like the Quinny Buzz range.  All seems fine to me (even if it is expensive - hope I can get an Ebay bargain!).  Has anyone used these systems (the ones with carrycot/car seat etc) and if so any comments or things I should know - particularly if you have very good or very bad feedback!!

Alternatively if anyone has a different travel system recommendation please let me know (esp if it is cheaper!). What we like about the Quinny on paper:

• 1 handed "put up - put down" of chasis
• the carrycot - I would like to have baby laying down for the first few months

Also if you or anyone are living within about 100 miles of Leicester and have a system to sell to a good home I would be very interested!  Baby is due early June.

I have had the quinny zapp travel system and it was easy to use and light weight, my friend has the new quinny buzz and is going to sell it because it doesn't fit through doors easily and doesn't fit in there car very well either, she loves the ease of the putting it up but you still have to take the seat off if its not facing the right way round, which means you need 2 hands not one and that defeats the idea in the first place.

There is a video demonstration on the Kiddicare website that shows you everything including accessories too.

I had the Buzz and loved it - The only problem is its pretty wide so its difficult to navigate through shops. I was going to get the Zapp as he got older but my arms werent long enough to unfold it!!!

I also had the urburn detour from mothcare and i much prefered the buzz!

It's a hard decision.... you could if your crazy enough do what i did..... i filled a rucksack with bags of sugar to 8lb's and then went pram shopping with it in tow (dp of course carried it). I then tried all the prams i liked and got a feel for how they'd handle and then tried collapsing each several times and in the end i went for a graco mosaic.....

What i'm trying to say the choice is so wide as everyone looks for different things... go to mother care/babies r us and kiddicare (if they are within traveling distance for you) and try them out.... they all handle differently depending on your height etc.

Have fun it's so hard to choose the right one as it can last years!

Hi - Took all your advice and went to Kiddicare yesterday, they are in the process of moving so there are loads of bargains as they are emptying the store!  I think this ends around 14th April when they move.

I tried lots but fell in love with the Buzz!!  Typical, why can't I like the £100 jobbies!!!  I found it much lighter and easy to manouver that the others and less overwhelming for baby with padding etc - some of the pushchairs look so padded that you can hardly find the baby surely they overheat?!

Anyway, now scouring Ebay and hoping a bargain pops up if not then its back to Peterborough next weekend...

Mads - I work from home but my office is in Ely (I go once every couple of weeks) - I often drive through St Ives to avoid the dreaded A14 near Cambs. Only one more visit now before mat leave starts.
