Hello!

One of the other mums at my breastfeeding group gave me a loan of her "Calin Bleu" baby sling today.   It's basically just a long length of material that you tie round- but I thought it was fabulous!  It's easy to use and much less fidgety than other baby carriers I've tried.  It's really comfortable and I felt all mother earth with it on!  I'll just need to buy 2 and tie Euan to my back now!  Here it is...

It distributes the weight of the baby quite evenly, can be used until they're toddler age and keeps both hands free (although I'm giving her a wee cuddle in the pic).  I'm definitely going to get one.

That looks great. I'm on the look out for a good sling for Adam - I fancy one they can lie across you in as well as sit up. Is that one purely for an 'upright' position?

xxx

Lynie, it looks fab and very trendy too much nicer than bjorn slings.

My sister recently bought a freedom sling, I think thats what its called for my nephew.  I had a go the other week after I saw her using it and I have to say they are so much more comfier than your average baby carrier, James was settles in it too.

I wish they had known about them when Louis was younger.

Hi hun that does look fab and soooo comfy..... no tight thin straps diggin in anywhere.

There's a mum at the coffee club i attend and she has one of these and it looks fab so comfy and her baby is so happy in there, wake or asleep!

I think it's a great idea thats come about..... my only question would be how easy is it to tie up and does it stay tight or giggle loose? (never thought of asking her as it's not something i need now.)

It's actually easier to tie than I thought it would be.  When Alex and Emilie were babies I had a Tomy carrier but I found all the clips a bit to much hassle.  This feels really natural and comfy.  I have to point out I had the sling on in the pic a bit too loose, I've had a wee bit more practice today and was getting the babies into different positions in it.
