Just thought I'd share this as Ellie has this yesterday and she absolutely loved it - it is much cheaper than baby rice but you have to make it with normal milk because it needs to boil and I don't think you can boil formula or breastmilk...

Ellie had it with apricot and apple - according to Annabel Karmel, the amount I made would do 4 portions but Ellie ate more than half of it in one go!!

2oz dried apricots, 1.5 tbsp semolina, 6oz milk

put the apricots in pan of water, boil for 8 mins...put semolina in a different pan over medium heat and gradually add milk - keep stirring till it boils, stir for 3 mins (simmering), it goes thick - add apricots and puree...I added apple too..

you can freeze it in portions but it may need more milk adding when defrosted

(semolina contains gluten)

lol, if I ask DH about what to give Ellie to eat he says "I've got no idea" - I think he'd give the same answer to a question about pureed peaches or pureed vindaloo..!
