Bump to 3 have generously given us 2 Grobags for our next competition! They say that starting a family is a life changing event, but we didn't know we'd end up running a new business, employing over 100 people worldwide and begin changing the sleeping habits of babies and parents in the UK.
It all started in December 1996 when our son, Samuel was born. By the time he was 7 months old, he was kicking off his covers every night and we were going bonkers with sleep deprivation. That was until our Austrian sister-in-law recommended a baby sleeping bag, which, as it turns out, was the norm for babies in many parts of Europe. After his first night in his sleeping bag, Sam slept for 12 hours and we were hooked!
The name 'grobag' came to us one bed-time when looking for Sam's baby sleeping bag, because when he woke up the following morning he was bright, breezy and very slightly bigger! The name stuck and the rest is history!
We started the company in September 2000, and we are now the UK’s favourite baby sleeping bag. We are proud to claim that grobag® has changed the way the nation puts our children to bed.
We are obsessed with safety and we work very closely with the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID). We help spread the 'safe sleep' message and help fund research into ways to prevent cot death and reduce accidental injuries or fatalities.
