As many of you know I'm already married so have not actually just got engaged

What I want to ask you about is when did your babies heads engage? Particularly with your first child?

My sister is now at 37weeks fingers crossed and all that. Am actually beginning to get excited.

With her history, they don't really want her going full term. They're happy to induce her next week on the 12th providing babies head is engaged, which it currently isn't.

Have recommended to her curries and sex, she'll try the first but not the second, remember how unattractive i felt too so no blaming her there. Also walking up the stairs sideways. Any other suggestions to get this head down for next week? Sooooo don't want this babies placenta getting old and c section is not really her best choice if we can just get my pesky niece in the right postion.

Aww no idea sorry hun. My girls were head down from 24 weeks but no idea when one was engaged. I went into labour at 32 weeks and didn't know. Then i had a emergency c/section with mine being twins.

So sorry not helpful but fingers crossed she will be engaged soon and ready to come out! xxxxxx

If I remember the trick was to use a birthing ball and just sit bouncing on that. Some babies engage 3 weeks before they are due others like my dd didn't engage until she was literally just about out! Good luck hope bubs engages soon!

With my first the babies head started engaging from about 35 weeks and was fully engaged at 37 weeks.  Everyone is different and like has already been said, the head doesn't always engage at all until it's time for the birth.  I hope that the positioning is right for her next week and she can be induced and have a safe arrival of her baby.  Wishing her good luck and let us know how she gets on.
