What a great idea this forum is.

Well for this week every other day i have been getting very strange but painful pain in my pelvis and after an hour went totally.Today it started off as normall but only stronger and suddenly went into a gripping pain at the top and bottom of my bump, it was so stronge it took me by surprise and i had to hold my belly and lean over, each one didnt last very long but altogether they went on for an hour. After a while i could feel my stomach getting ready for some more but this time have only been the gripping pain.

Anyone have any ideas as to what they r? Im 35+3 weeks and had BV in early pregnancy and was told baby could come early but never said how early.

Also if baby was to come now would it really be that early?

Sorry for all the questions and for a long post.

Thanks in advance Love Ellen xxxx

With second and subsequent pregnancies babies head doesn't always engage until you go into labour.

Braxton Hicks are like a tightening of your bump and can go on for hours even getting regular.  I had them with both Fran and Ols from about 32wks sometimes they could be quite painful.  Mostly they were annoying as they normally started in the evening.  They start then because you are tired and also can sometimes be a bit dehydrated.  The best thing to do is sit with your feat up and have a drink that sometimes eases them.

If your baby came now it would be premature and it may need help with breathing but 35+ is not too bad.

With taylor, i started getting them at around 18 weeks and they happened once every hour, which isnt normal, lol... they felt like non painfull tightenings around my belly, and used to make my belly rock hard.

Later in the pg at around 34 weeks, they were that strong i struggled to breath sometimes, they were never painfull tho.

I have had a couple already with this pg, but no way near as many as i did last time, thank god.
