Good luck both of you. We're supposed to be trying to potty train Ben this summer. So far i've got him to sit on the potty fully clothed, in return for a stamper, but haven't dared try it unclothed. Before his bath he stands on his little stool in front of the loo 'like Daddy' and pretends, but then wees in the bath! Don't know how we're gonna do it!

Btw, has anyone used clth potty training pants, or disposable ones, or just put lo into normal pants and hoped for the best? Thinking about doing the latter!

I am potty training Hannah at the mo. At home she wears knickers but when we go out I put her in training pants. I also did a sticker chart with sad faces if she had an accident.

We have had plenty of "accidents". She has got the gist of weeing on the potty unless she gets excited then she wees wherever but not doing poos which she seems to do everywhere, in her knickers, on the floor in the hall, between the slates on her bed (she pulls the mattress out the way). I have realised that she wants to do No2s in private!!!!

Its driving me insane!!!

Good luck with it

Good luck Everyone!! I am not sure how to even go about it, the hv hasnt mentioned it...meg hates being wet or dirty but yet screams blue murder if you sit her on a potty, or on her toilet seat, or even just on the loo! She demands to have a clean nappy back on! She's 2, no idea when she'll be ready for that lol xxx

Me too, I think!

Tried a little while back but she got soo devasted by her accidents I just put her back in nappies. Now its got to the stage where she ask for a nappy change then has a wee or poo and I have to change it again.

She will usually do a wee for me before and/or after her bath but most of the time wants to use  nappies. Put her in potty trainers last week and explained she must try to use the toilet but she just waited til she was wearing a nappy about 2 hours later so I'm sure she must be ready, just lacking confidence.

PS She loves the smiles here on madmums.

I thinks eds is nearly there - hes very aware of poos and says 'Bum' and pulls at his crotch is he's dirty but he's not fussed about wees so much unless hes very wet.

I'm gonna wait for the summer.
