Well Eds is getting closer to being potty trained. I always said I would wait until he's 100% ready and then do it and no going back but he was showing such an interest I didnt want to put him off although I knew he wasnt 100% ready.
So over the past few weeks I've been spending time with him playing with no nappy on and the potty out. He was about 50% successful, normally because he was sat on the potty playing when he needed to go. If he was off the potty he didnt seem to realise he needed to go until he was going. I didnt make a fuss, just cleaned it up and carried on. He got very excited when he did wee in the potty and would flush it away saying 'bye bye wee wee' and clap himself.
On saturday morning he pooed in his potty which was a first. It was only tiny but again he was very proud so we flushed it away and said bye bye poo!
This morning I had him nappyless for ages and kept asking him but no wee. He was playing when my nan phoned so I kept and eye on him. He started 'fiddling' with himself so I asked him if he wanted a wee and he said no. Then a few mins later he got up and went and stood in front of him potty so I held his hand (still on the phone) and he sat down. Less than a minute later he jumped up and shouted weewee! and pointed and sure enough he had. I was so proud so I'm going to try again this afternoon after lunch (he has a nappy on at the moment for his nap).
