I think Joshua has finally cracked the night time training. We were having a bout of good days, followed by a bigger bout of bad days. He never seemed to get it, and no amount of restricting his drinks helped. There seemed no pattern, I'd do nothing different but one day he'd be dry, the next soaked and not even realising it till I woke him, or if it was after my check, till he woke in the morning. Even then he didnt bother, just took his pj's off and carried on as normal.

Anyway, for a good few WEEKS now he has been dry at night. On the very odd occassion he's had an accident he's woke up staright away upset! While we were away I took spare sheets and the wet proof sheet, expecting his bed wetting to be at his worst as drinks were free flowing, ice creams, ice lollies etc. Anyway, much to my surprise he was dry all holiday. On 2 occassions he woke up crying at about midnight+ and I thought he'd wet, but it was because he really need a wee and he was a bit confused. This is the first time he's ever woke up because he needs a wee!

I am so proud! I expect we'll still have accidents, certainly for the short term, but I really think we have crossed to the next level. He has got a much better underdstanding, and control in the night. Finally he doesn't like being wet, which was a bridge to cross on its own lol He's not had pull ups for about a year now, and it feels so good not to have to wake up and start the day stripping bedding, washing duvets and trying to get it all clean and dry lol Not to mention the baths before school, we have enough battling on our hands just getting ready for school without adding to the routine!

That is excellent news Chris.  I can't believe just how grown up he is these days, and it does make a HUGE difference when you don't have to start the day with a full day's routine, never mind the usual stuff before school!  Well done Joshua, you really are a big boy now!
