well max has been dry for a couple of months or so, but has had some accidents also.  sometimes, he doesn't make the toilet in time like this morning.  but then at other times he is quite happy to just do his business in is pants with no warning!!!!  i try and keep cool, but i do ask him to let me know if he needs to do a poo or wee again in future (sorry if tmi, but it's that kind of thread-lololol).

i would say that he uses the toilet more than not use it.  he hasn't had an accident at nursery for at least a month, and even being out and about he uses the portable potty that mum2joshua sent.  he has no problem using a potty, but he does prefer the toilet.

on the way back from the beach yesterday he managed to let us know he needed a wee.  we couldn't stop for 10 mins, and he still managed to hold it until we pulled over.

so all in all max has cracked it except for the odd little accident now and then.

how are your los getting on?

Well done Max!

Ethan had been dry for about the last 4-5 weeks at night now, since we started using pull ups. We called them special pants rather than nappies as he knew he wasn't supposed to wee in pants but it was ok in a nappy. He was dry pretty much from the first night we used them. About 3 weeks ago he started going to bed without a pull up on and we have only had 1 accident, and that was because he fell asleep on my bed watching tv with his dad so didn't go to the toilet before going to bed.

I was really worrying about getting Ethan dry at night but he has just done it off his own back really, it has been alot easier than I though it would.

Oh well another year or two and I get to start all over again with Ellie......

After our bad week Sophie is back on track and getting better. Last night she woke up shouting "want a pee", took her but she'd already gone in her pull up. Must buy a waterproof sheet and get her started soon if she's capable of waking herself up.

well done ethan and sophie.

can i ask one question...

how long did you leave it until you started leaving your los without a nappy on all night.  someone told me it takes on average 7 months for lo to be completely dry at night, and although max isn't ready for it just yet i was wondering what signs to look out for.

we currently put him in pull ups at night.

It was probably about 7 months, he was potty trained in July a couple of days after his second birthday, then started being dry at night in feb/march time.

I was really worried about when to try and get him dry at night but wasn't putting any pressure on him, I thought it would be nearer his 3rd birthday to be honest. He started  having the occasional dry nappy in a morning when he woke up, he asked not to have a nappy on so we tried him without once -about jan time but he wet the bed so we started using pull ups and explained to him to shout me if he needed a wee in the night which he did, then he didn't want to wear pull ups no more.

Joshua has been dry 12 months now and still having a pull on for bed. We did crack it and had dry nights for over a week, then the night terrors started which set us back. Then the other week his pull up was dry every morning. I asked him if he wanted a pull up or pj's only and he wanted pj's. he had no accidents, then he came down with chicken pox. His groin was badly covered, even on the end of his whigy. he found it so hard to wee, and for a few nights could only wee when he was relaxed and asleep. he got himself worked up and demanded the pull ups back. I am not going to force him to be dry, he is still only young. Last night and tonight he has asked for undies, and a pull up on. I put the undies over the pull up, he thinks it makes all the difference. I will ask him again in a couple of days if he wants to go to bed with out a pull up. Actually I will ask when we get back from Vix's this weekend!

For anyone doing night time training with los in a cot bed, you can get ideal wet protectors from Asda, they are draw string so fit any single, junior or cot bed!

Well done to all the los who are training. They have all come on so much. i cant believe its been months for max, only seems like yesterday. He has done great babe, as have all the los. Keep it up everyone xxxxx
