Sophie has now virtually mastered it through the day. Don't need to ask her anymore, she just goes. Am now thinking of starting through the night, but her pull-up is always wet in the mornings but not smelly (stale pee) so I think she must be going when she is waking up. Should I lift her through the night as well as before I go to bed when we start?

A friend of mine used to wake her son as she was going to bed at 11 ish and take him to the bathroom. He would then wee, and go back to bed. Then, she would be around when he woke up and take him straight to the loo as he woke. After a few days of this, she didn't need to wake him at 11 as he'd wake if he needed to go. Don't know if anyone has any better advice as this is 2nd hand, but might be worth a try..

When we trained the girls, I would always take them toilet before bed, then as i went to bed I would wake them  & put them on the toilet. never really had many problems oh and first thing in the morning.  we never used pull ups to me its just the same as a nappy just given a posh name.

My mum always put me & my brother on the potty b4 she went 2 bed & we were dry pretty quickly apparently

But for some reason she never did it with my sister (shes the middle lo) & she took longer 2 b dry thru the day as well as at nite

I dont think theres any harm in trying - my mum never woke us, just put us on the potty while we were sleeping. I personally dont agree with this cause i think ur teaching lo 2 wee in their sleep. I will wake Ryan up wen he gets 2 this stage

Joshua has been dry for 18 months during the day and he still isnt dry at night. However, we have enough issues with his sleeping and night time pattern, everytime we try theres a huge hiccup. I was waking him when I went to bed though for him to go to the toilet, it does seem to help a lot. But with his broken sleep due to his night terrors and sleep walking I dont like to do it now and he has been having wet pull ups in the morning again. Im not sure when I should try night time again, he's on sedatives now nothing wakes him at night pmsl xxxx
