This is a very strange proud mummy moment. I'm sorry but I feel a very strong need to share it with someone and I think people will find me odd if I start calling people to tell them!

Edward had a poo in the potty. I have been sitting him on the potty at nappy changes and I had worked out that he has his poo not long after I get him up in the morning. So today I left him in just a nappy until he started straining a little then sat him on the potty. He was copying me making straining sounds (I'm so glad noone could see me) then suddnly there was a smell(!) When I lifted him off the potty he'd done the biggest poo I'd ever seen him do. He was very proud of himself and I let him flush it down the toilet.

I am sure this is a one off, I am not expecting my one year old son to be anywhere near potty trained - but I am soooo proud because it wasnt a fluke - he knew what he was supposed to do!

Aww my clever man!

LOL Trudi! Nearly! PMSL!

I was so tempted to go and get the camera but I knew he'd get off and wipe his mucky bum on my carpet so this milestone goes unphotgraphed! TBH I dont think DP would have forgiven me for photographing THAT event. He claims I take too many pics anyway!

He did a wee wee and a poo poo this morning! He seemed to be waiting for the potty as he was quite aggatated and went as soon as I sat him on his 'pot pot'. He has since done another little poo in his nappy so I think he was so excited he didnt finish but I'm very proud!

Yesterday my mum bought him a matching winnie the pooh potty to keep at hers. When he saw it in the shop he got all excited and started shouting and pointing - he doesnt even do that with toys!!!
