I ask because Harrison would not ever sit on a potty, he went staright on the toilet from day one of potty training, I think it was because bis bottom was too big to fit and the fact he's a tall lad so found it a bit of a strain to sit so low.

I want to make  PT easier for Louis so what I'm asking is, do you think a potty or a potty chair and does it really make a difference?

We have a cheap potty which i got from asda, but he wears it on his head and will not sit on it.  I was thinking of one of those musical fisher price potty's but they are £20 + so I dont want to buy one if its going to be a waste.

What do you think?

We too have a baby loo seat and a potty however Maddie tells us that she needs to go then goes in her nappy and shouts if you try and sit her on  either - apparently both the seat and potty are only for decorative purposes and to be carried about the house.

josh also uses it as a hat lol,

joshua prefers to go on the loo but i think he only prefers it because he likes tirying me out by making me walk up and down the stairs every 5 mins,

i think kids prefer the loo because they always sees us going to the loo and thinks its weird that we try to make them go on the potty when we dont even sit on it.

she wanted me to sit on it the other day but my backside is far too large!

rin could you get him to choose his own potty?

We only have one potty so its a nightmare. The girls always want to sit on it and play with it at the same time. I was thinking about getting a toilet potty. I was thinking this as Jamie-leigh has only had one wee on it and Ashleigh still hasn't done anything. They are still young i think at the mo so i'm not pushing it. I have founf though that they like doing what we do so thought if we got a toilet potty they would want to start using that instead. I think its a good idea to have both. xxx

i had a potty for tasja, but she didnt like it one bit, so mum got her one of those chair potty things and she was soo much happier using it.  Think she liked being slightly higher up, rather than having her knees up round her chin.  When it came round for isla to start on the potty thing, we got her a chair one as well with no probs whatsoever, however on the house move..it conveniently got 'lost' so now she has no choice but to use the loo.  Both my girls liked having a throne from which they could survey their kingdom lol.  The pair of them at relevant stages have both sat on their thrones with a book reading lol.
