IM SO EXCITED AND I JUST CANT HIDE IT.

i took joshuas nappy off about 9 o clock this morning and told him that if he wanted a pee or a poo to go on the potty so he went and sat on the potty and did a pee which both of us were very excited about then he went and had a pee on the toilet and when my sister came she made a big fuss of him and he had a poo on the potty.

he is has been without a nappy for 3 1/2 hours now and has only had one accident i hope the novelty dosent wear off for him.

That is fantastic!  It's always such an acheivement when they finally do go through a while!  You are bound to have accidents, but if you ignore them, then you will have more success than if you scold them for it!  I'm dreading training Fred, he's very stubborn about privacy, but there is nowhere I can put a potty that is private for him at the moment!

Excellent!

You can buy potty stickers which go in side the potty and when the pee on it, a picture appears,, Gltc have them. I bought something similar to go in our toilet to stop ds1 wee'ing all over the floor.

Hope this is the start of a nappy free era for you

Well done! Glad its going so well. Dreading starting potty training with Ben. He'd quite happily sit in dirty nappy all day! He's nearly 2 1/2 now so will have to start trying soon! Leaving it as long as poss coz I heard its easier!

we've got Jaden a potty but I know he's not ready yet. It's just a game to him now and he hasn't done anything in it. I'm waiting till he's at least 2 to give it a try cos having newborn too is not gonna make life easy
