Well, I'm 2 weeks in to my "coming off the tablets" phase, and its so far so good. I'm still doing 3 days on, 1 off for the time being and will do this for at least another 2 weeks before I reduce it. I feel OK, but I can tell that I'm missing one every 4 days and I didn't think I would.

I think I thought I was superwoman or something and that I'd just be able to stop the antidepressants over about 6 weeks and be done with it. I have to admit I was skeptical about doing it so slowly, but I can now see why .

But overall, its going OK. I'll be glad to be done with them thats for sure, but I'm not going to do anything stupid and will just go with the flow and if I find that dropping the dose is too big a step, then I'll stay with what was OK for a while longer.

Watch this space.

Well done - it sounds like its going really well.

It is a big step, especially as you were so poorly with it. But you have your head screwed on and you are sensible (sometimes lol) so I know you'll do well!

Hugs

Good for you Diz - I think you are doing it the best way there is

You need to give yourself time to cut down on them just like any other medication

You are doing great

I'll take that as a compliment! Thanks Madz!

I've started using my light box earlier than I normally would to try and counter any effects. That seems to be working well to and I'm really noticing a difference. So I'll keep that up.
