Holly my 27 month old has been complaining of a "sore wee wee" She has been only saying this when she is having a wee.

Over the last 2 days she has had quite runny poo...maybe 3 or 4 episodes a day. It hasn't upset her in the slightest.... We have managed to change her poo pretty promptly as the stench ws making us gag (much to her delight)

I looked tonight when she was having a bath and her front is very red, however it never bothered her until she weed in the bath (charming)

She is quite happy sitting here watching Barney with a plaster on her wee wee (which in fact is actually on her hip...but hey if it keeps her happy) She only crys when she wees. Surely a rash with barrier cream on would hurt all the time not just when she wees? Any suggestions?

PS She has no fever.

Poor wee thing. Could it maybe be thrush? If it's red and sore when she wees, could possibly be an infection. I'd get appointment with dr just to be sure.

Hope she feels better very soon.

xxx

Yes its possible to get cystitis at that age!  I would suggest a trip to your gp with a specimin bottle from your dd.  If it hurts when she wees then the chances are a short dose of antibiotics could clear it up.  If you won't be able to get an appointment for a while, buy in some cranberry juice as that kills the bacteria on the inside. HTH And hope she gets better soon.
