Like any other familys mine has been plagued with the dreaded lurgy. This time it's Billy's turn. He's started with a really chesty caugh so I decided to get him checked out. The doc said he had asthma and prescribed a ventolin and a baby spacer.
I'm sure when my others were ill and I suspected asthma they told me they couldn't diagnose it until they were two. This time I didnt think it was asthma but his chest was rattly so thought that he may be getting a bit of a chest infection. He's also been prescribed some steroids, and I thought he was too young for them also.
I was told he was too young (3 1/2 months) to get a chest infection due to his immune system still being strong from me, yet he can have asthma already. Anyone else been told anything like this from so young?
