Hello.

Louis has a really, really nasty bout of chickenpox.  It's his 3rd lot in as many years.

This time, they are in his eyes, ears, all inbetween his bum, groin, hair you name it, they are there.

I've heard that bicarb of soda in the bath helps and also oats?  just wondered if anyone has tried it and if its effective.  Calamine lotion isnt helping to relieve the itching and i dont want him taking the scabs off and causing scaring.

Help, its only day 3!

Rin get some piriton, i swear by it! It stops the itching. Ashleigh had it as bad as your lo and she never knew she had it once i got that in her system! I didn't use anything else other than calamine lotion then.

Yup - was going to say the same thing Emma. Cameron had a bad case of it at the end of last year - and as he has bad allergies is on Piriton nearly all the time anyway, hardly had any problems with itching. The doctor said that would have been down to the Piriton.

Good luck - hope that helps ease it for the wee one.
