I've been thinking lately about wether or not the boys are getting enough vitamins from there food, with it being really warm they are not eating much, and when they do its not always the healthiest option they have.

Can anyone reccomend a good childrens multi vit for both boys 15months & 4yrs, Harry has an omega 3 suppliment already, but thats it i think it only has an added vit A im not too sure.

It has to be tasty or Harry wont touch itlol

I think there is a recammendation that children between the age of 6mnths and 2yrs take vitamin supplements.  If you are using formula milk then that contains all the vitamins a young baby/child needs.  Just a small warning though Abidec Multivitamin contains peanut oil and so do a lot of other vitamin drops for children.  You can buy chewy vitamin sweets for kids that are good my eldest 2 used to love them.

Both my girls are thriving on a children's supplement called "Usanimals", by Usana Health Sciences. Here's the product info direct from the website:

Are you having problems getting your kids to eat their vitamins? Great-tasting Usanimals help make nutrition fun, with an improved taste and smaller, easier to eat size. With children’s lifestyles and growing bodies, it’s crucial for them to receive adequate vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Usanimals provide a full array of these nutrients in amounts designed specifically for children. Usanimals include large doses of vitamins C and E, two of the most powerful antioxidants needed by kids today. Usanimals also contain a new antioxidant phytonutrient blend of blackberry, cranberry, raspberry, and wild blueberry fruit powders. Your children will love the natural Wild Berry Blend flavour and new animal shapes that are smaller and easier to eat. Adults love the new Usanimals because USANA uses only natural flavours and sweetners.

These aren't available in the shops, but on request I can send you (or anyone else that asks) further information about studies on child nutrition, and how best to supplement your family's diet.

B.x

Hi Rin,

I started Max on Bassett's omega 3 with vitamins A, C, D and E about a fortnight ago.

They are fruity and chewy and I like the fact it contains both the omega 3 as well as a mixture of vitamins instead of giving him separate tablets.

Max eats a varied diet, but I can't see what harm it does to give los something extra as well.
