Sorry Ladies, Just moaning here!

Since my Blighted ovum back in april, my periods have been irregular, sometimes a cycle lasted around 50 days, other times as short as 24 days...September i had missed the 28 day mark by 2 weeks, and my period showed up, like a tap had been turned on, i was having horrid cramps and i felt dizzy, so i went to the gp...He suspected i had a m/c but i didn't believe that, he prescribed me some tranexamic acid to try and stem the bleeding! After 2 weeks the bleeding finally stopped...Yesterday my period came again, started off a sort of pink colour (unusual for me) and now it's bright red and honestly its gross, it smells metallic, although im not in much pain, just the odd cramp, i feel like i have my own flood going on!! I don't know what "normal" is, but my periods never used to be bright red!

I'm fed up of it, i just want my body to go back to some sort of normality, i have never had irregular periods until after April!

Me and andy have been ttc since the blighted ovum to little avail, and i just feel like it's my fault! I'm not stressing over ttc, but i am getting worried that there is something wrong with my cycle!

Well i have to go now, i have loads of washing to do, haven't gone out today as i bled through my trousers and didn't want to chance going in public! How embarassing!!

Well first off Sam, it sounds like you need a big hugfor having such a pants day!
I have no advice im affraid on irregular periods or ttc, but just wanted to say moan away as much as you need to, and i hope it has made you feel slightly better?
If you think things aren't quite right with your body, then go back to your gp and have a chat with him about all your concerns.
I hope your bleeding settles down soon, and you have a better day tomorrow.
(Just a thought, if your using sanitary pads... double them up to prevent leaking if your planning on going out!!!)

Sam how awful! If your cycle is so bad I would pop along to talk to your GP, especially as you are ttc, an irregular cycle will make that more difficult to pin point your most fertile days. Like Amanda says, if you're going out double up on pads, not the most comfortable but its a little more secure. Hope it doesn't last long chick xx

The colour being bright red means the bleeding is fresh.  I'd get yourself to the gp again and see what they can do for you hun! tc xxxx

Hey Bug.

My miscarriage was a blighted ovum too and whether it was connected or not, my periods went loopy too. I had lots of bleeding at the time, which turned out to be an infection, and then another infection but after that, the length of the cycles ranged from 10 days to 45 days and I had similar flooding issues.

If the blood smells funny, its definately worth seeing your GP as it could be an infection.

On the practical side, the Always night time towels are very good, although they are massive.

Let us know how you get on.

xxx

Thanks ladies, i think i will go back to the gp and see what next! He wanted to do a pelvic exam after september's issue, but i never went back...So i guess it will be necessary. The smell isn't bad, its the amount that's gross! It smells like fresh blood! I just want it to end! Feeling quite light headed today, i look quite pale so my guess is that i have lost a fair amount of blood since it started!

I am wearing the night brand at the moment as the ordinary ones only last an hour!! At least now i get an hour and a half!

Might try putting 2 on lol! Thanks for listening ladies xxx

Aw hunny! Sounds terrible! Sometimes mine are a bit irregular and I always have a painful heavy one if I'm late. I'd definately go back to he gp just to be on the safe side.
