Argh what is it with me and bad timing at the moment??

I am going to a wedding of a very old friend on Saturday and I have a lovely new outfit

http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/goingout/2/5 with this hat (hats are compulory) http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/goingout/16/3

So I was really looking forward to dressing up. Then I realised I'd be on crutches and in pain - but thats bearable.

Now I have 2 other issue. The first is my acne rosacea which has flaired up over my face and cheeks - plus the morphine itches have meant I have taken the skin off my nose and lips making my face scabby and unattractive.

Plus I am now developing pityriasis rosea over my chest (thanks Steph and Jen for diagnosing me) - my aunt had it and it covered her body.

So my question is how can I cover these conditions, my face in particular - do you have any tips or tricks for covering unsightly marks? Its a long day too - midday to midnight!

Please help me!

Boots do a concealer for red skin.  It's green but when rubbed into red skin it neutralises the redness and makes the skin look normal.  Then you put your normal make up on top of it.  It's hyper allergenic so shouldn't cause a reaction but if you get some now and try it on a small patch behind your ear for 24hrs you will know if it's going to react with your skin adversly.

To take other peoples eyes away from your lips and nose wear more makeup on your eyes and a light lippy! The more you do your eyes up and the less your lips people will be automatically looking at your eyes. Its a distraction, they teach people to do this when they have had bad accidents. It just takes the main focus away. (hope it makes sense)... xxx

Thanks girls.

Sam I will have a look for that - any idea whats its called?

Em thats brilliant - I love my eyes anyway so will have no problem glamming them up. In fact I am wearing black so might go for darker sultry eye make up which can look quite dramatic when I get it right.

Any other ideas still welcome!
