I hope the antibiotics kick in quickly for you and the pain subsides soon.... can you family help out with the kids so you can drift off to dream land or do they expect to be entertained.... (if thats the right word).

hope your better soon hun

Oh how's the spd now Jospeh is here? Has it settled down and disappeared (i've got me fingers crossed for you)

Hiya Zany, the SPD disappeared within about a week! I am so glad it has as I have actually managed to get into twn to go shopping today and buy some clothes for Joseph lol.

They expect to be entertained lol!  Plus Louise is being a tad clingy and expects to be picked up every 10 minutes lol.  It blooming hurts as she is 2.5 years old and BIG! lol.

I haven't had a moment pain free! What with the SPD, then the Oligio and now the mastitis.... i'm not even breastfeeding any more and still I get it!

Ouch, mate.

I didn't develop full mastitis, but my breasts became quite engorged.  My mw would tell me to apply a warm, damp cloth to the area and gently massage to get rid of some of milk.  I had to do this twice a day, it was agony but worked.  Failing that I'd get the breast pump on them, that was the only way I could do it.  It was so painful it nearly put me off breastfeeding my second son, but luckily didn't.

Apparently, cold cabbage leaves down the bra are supposed to soothe it although I never tried it.

Hope yuu feel better soon.

Take care,  Zo xx

I had some wonderful gel pads when eds was small. I think they were called Breast Feeding Bliss - they were wonderful at soothing sore, engorged breasts! I would thoroughly recommend them! You can normally get the quite reasonable from ebay - mothercare used to do them but I cant find them now.

Poor you. Yes - I can recommend the cabbage leaves - my midwife told me to get them - my dh took a rather fetching photo of me lying on the couch wearing a 'cabbage bra'! Such a painful thing - I hope your anti-bio's kick in quickly and clear it up.

Glad wee Joseph is in a good routine too.

xxx

P.s. And fab that SPD has gone too!
