Well, finally my appointment has come through. I was taken off all my medication at my last consultation and was told I'd have to wait 6-8 weeks to see the nurse for the hormone tests. Its since been 11 weeks, and after ringing the hospital a few times I've finally got an appointment for Friday. I am to fast from Thrusday night and be there for 8am (argh I dont do mornings lol). They are giving me an injection to stimulate my hormones, and will be taking a series of blood tests to see what they are doing. I think its quite a simple proceedure. I will probably have to wait a few weeks to see the endocrinologist again, which is when I'll get the results. At least after Friday I can get back on my medication, and hopefully regain a bit of control over my raging hormones lol

Awww hunny you've done so well coping over these 11 weeks. It seems like an eternity ago that we where talking of you having to come off the meds.

Good luck i'll be thinking of you and hope once the medication is back in your system you get some relief quickly xxx

The nurse didnt say. I was prewarned I'd have to fast, and it was a day long proceedure. However, the nurse confirmed I'd have to fast, but said I'd be home by lunch, thats all I know. Im having a tube in my arm where they'll give me an injection to stimulate my hormones, and then a series of blood tests will be taken, then Im free to go home. Its all to do with the PCOS so I assume they are looking for oestrogen and levels of testosterone, but I didnt ask specifically what the tests were for. I'll ask her on Friday.
