Well, after a little upheaval this morning I finally made it to the doctors. I told her all my problems...and dam I felt like a (sp?) hyprocondriact lol. Anyways, After her prescribing my asthma medication and new tablets to try and get that under control we got onto the sweats, weight, periods etc. I have to go for some blood tests next Tuesday, she's testing me for thyroids, PCOS and a couple of other things linked to hormones. I'll have to wait for a couple of weeks for all the results though so in the mean time I just have to put up with the sweats etc until we try and find out whats causing them.
On an up note though, I've also booked myself into the smoking cestation clinic. I feel ready enough to give giving up another go. It's not going to be easy, I'm a 40 a day smoker but I want to do it now for me and for the kids. My health will get better, it'll be a better environment for the kids and all the money I save on fags could mean I can afford to take them all on holiday next year.

Thanks hun, I'm determind to give it my all this time, I'm doing it for me but I'm doing it for my babies too. I've spoken to the doctor about it today and I think I'm going to take the tablet route, I've tried the patches, lozengers and inhalator.
As for the other problems, I'm just taking one day at a time. I'm hoping the bloods next week will give some answers and I know with most hormone problems its treatable.

If youve done the NRT..itll probably be zyban...like i said...champix is the third line last point of call jobby. Can send you some stuff up if you want, leaflets etc if you want, is no probs. Just let me know. Hmmm once a fortnight your clinics run, ours run weekly, with as much or as little support as you like...which clinic have you gone with..as in which cessation team..not that im being nosey..well, i am cos its nice to know what other teams are doing so we can nick their ideas.....oh and for all of those living in nottinghamshire...keep a beady eye out on the buses in the county...cos yours truly is going to be plastered all over the back of them!

Some leaflets would be great Steph, if thats ok with you. I dont know much about my clinic, I'll probably find out more when I have my first visit but it's someone who comes into my local doctors surgery. It will be different in a few months though, our new top of the range health centre will be opening, it's very nearly built now and they're aiming to cater for a lot more than they do now so they'll probably be much more help and support there.
