I had the coil removed a little over 5 months ago and havent really had any noticable changes,

This last 2 weeks or so I have become spotty, I have never ever suffered with spots, not even as a teen. My hair has also become really greasy and needs washing almost daily.  I have been also having lower back pain.

Is this hormones?  I know its a rather random question but its getting me down. It cant be hormonal from the coil still could it?  I havent changed my diet or any skin/hair products so

I would say yes it could still be hormonal.  I had spots as a teenager, but none once I started having kids, then in the last few months I have started getting them quite badly again.  I reckon mine has to do with getting old!  I'm more run down now than I used to get with the older 3, which means I am not looking after myself as much either.  I'm almost at the point of visiting docs to get myself sorted but I always avoid the docs unless dh drives me there.

Yep definately hormones!!  I have noticed also since stopping the depo injection that I have very spotty, greasy skin and greasy hair too, so you are not alone!!  FYI I have switched shampoo to tea tree shampoo - and that stops the grease for a day or two!!!

The same thing happened to me when I stopped taking the pill years ago.  I had spots on my chin and forehead and my hair went greasy, the doctor told me to go back on the pill to stop the spots and greasy hair which I didn't want to do.  After a while it did settle down, I used tea tree products from Bodyshop on my face which helped the spots and had to wash my hair every day.

Aloe vera shampoo and products are brilliant to relieve greasy hair and skin.

Ask your Gp but I would think it is connected.
