Not doing too great, coming to that time of the year again. Finally had a decent Dr last year inform me that I have S.A.D disorder only took them 10 years to figure that one out.
I get into moods for no reason and can be a bit vicious with people without intending too. So bear with me, I will try and be sweetness and light but somedays I just can't be ar**d.

Just wanted to say you're not on your own here, I have SAD too.

I know its early and don't want to pounce on you, but I have found light therapy really, really works for me and has made my SAD completely manageable. I use a lumie lightbox, and I'm not being melodramatic when I say that it has changed my life.

Madz has written an article about SAD which you might find of use, you can read it HERE

There's a link in there to a company called Outside In who offer a lightbox trial service so that you can see if it suits or not. I bought my light box from them.

Hang in there, with the right help you can get on top of this and be in charge. Thinking of you, and sending hugs. xxxxxx

The Dr has mentioned that company to me last autumn so I may well look into getting one soon and nip it in the bud.

Thanks for reply Diz and it's such a relief to meet another sufferer as for years I thought I was loosing my mind, would feel really depressed and not sleeping and it always started in September, but never knew why until last year.

Hi

It's a difficult one to handle as it doesn't affect you in a way you'd expect. It really does knock the stuffing out of you.

I'm in the middle of changing the lightbulbs in my house to daylight bulbs to help my son with d.a.m.p. as his condition is worse with the dull, dusk like days. It also goes hand in hand with S.A.D. so it seems.

It's one of those conditions you never hear much about but once you say i have this... it's supprising how many people it affects!

Chin up hun you're allowed to have your off days.
