I'm not sure how to write this post, my mind is a muddle. I'm sure you will appreciate the sensitivity of the subject matter.
A very good friend of the family was diagnosed with HIV on Sunday. Today he was taken into intensive care.
My sister adores him and was looking after him. Obviously she is devastated as is the whole family.
I've cried buckets of tears and the 'whys' play around in my head, but that doesn't make the tragedy better.
I don't expect anyone to say anything, it was just for me to offload. Kev's here with me, being my emotional punchbag so I'll be okay. It's my little sister I'm worried about.
My friend looks like a frail old man. He weighs 8.5 stone and has lost the will to live.
He's in his 40s, never married, never had children. Hasn't got a partner.
Life is so unpredictable, isn't it, and so bloody awful.

Thank you for your kind words.
Well, I've just phoned mum to see if Lou is at the hospital yet. Apparently she's been there ages, but as the friend's parents turned up first and only two visitors at a time she has to wait.
Poor Lou, she went up as soon as she could because her friend asked for her.
My mum is looking after Cal, but apparently he's wanting his mummy now. Oh, just heard that Cal's daddy his home so all is well there.
