Is it normal to have pain in pregnancy? I’ve had some morning sickness but also some pain in my lower tummy. I haven’t had any bleeding but its worrying me a bit. Its not really bad, just uncomfortable, is it normal or should I see the doctor? I’m nearly 8 weeks.

I had some early pains.. and it was put down to implantation or as was said before, the uterus expanding... I had early scans too, which showed everything was fine.

If your really worried, get in touch with your gp and ask to be seen by the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital..

It is probably your uterus expanding but there is no harm in checking with your doctor or midwife, xxx.

I had loads of pain at the beginning of my pregnancy, I had it from when my period was due until about 14 weeks and I still get it occasionally now.   It's probably (as others have said) just the uterus starting to stretch and expand to make room for the growing baby.

Just remember your uterus is expanding for your baby.  My daughter is 16 and now 17 weeks along.  She went thru this and everytime I turned around she was telling me she had pain.   Its sort of like period pains...   talk to your doctor next time you go in.  YOU HAVE seen a doc haven't you??????   As long as you are not spotting or bleeding you should be fine but let the doc tell you that.
