Not sure if anyone here has just found out they are expecting but my news is 12 hours old and found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow. After a lot of complications and investigations just happened. Shocked, excited, scared and very very tired - with a 7 year gap between my son I have now, going to be worth all the hard work.

Hi, I'm Kim, mum to Rebecca 13, Ruthie 11 and Cameron 4. I found the age gap a blessing between my youngest two! Congratulations on your pregnancy - hope you have a quick and easy 9 months.

Thank you to everyone, been told its easier second time around, my son has a sister imminently being induced this weekend to his dads girlfriend so he's got a rapidly growing family. Wishing he had a brother or sister and now he will have two, kids just aren't satisfied with one!! LOL
He loves other children/babies and my neighbour with a 5 month old says hes a god send with helping.
When I told my boyfriend I was pregnant I got the response "how did that happen?" - why do they say that?? With 4 children from previous marriage you would think the birds and bees would not need to be explained to him!!

Awww congratulations! lol As for being a help yes and no! My eldest was fantastic with everyone elses baby, however when I had my 4th he was useless! wouldn't lift a finger, dd on the other hand was fantastic. It is hard with a big age gap, but also alot easier in many ways, although you forget how draining it is, once the baby is in a routine, it's fantastic as you can then give the older one alot of attention. I found they didn't give a monkies about the babies til they started to crawl etc. As fo knowing how it happens, it's amazing how quickly blokes forget that there are consequences! pmsl Maybe when your other half is a bit older you might want to sit him down and explain it to him pmsl

My other half is 12 years older than me but has a mental age of about 20!! I'm 30, so it has come as a big shock to him!! Been told by a friend she reacons it will be a girl - seem alien to me since i have only ever known boys, and they are definitely from Mars!! Whats with the stones in pockets just to find they have blocked the washing machine and flooded the kitchen!!
All good fun!! Have to tell my parents this weekend, that should be fun!!
