Hi
I'm new to this so if I've raised this in the wrong place, sorry.
Just wondered if anyone could give me some advice. I'm not exactly sure how many weeks I am as only just found out last week, so not had my booking and scan yet. I had a really sharp pain in my right lower abdomen earlier on. It only lasted a few seconds, and happened when I got up off the bed. Has anyone else had this happen, and what do you think I should do? It gave me a real fright.

Thanks girls. Put my mind a bit more at ease. I hoped it would just be something like that cause I didn't have any other symptoms. Still feels a wee bit uncomfortable so think I might have just pulled something. Have just been having a look round the forum and am impressed, loads of help and advice from everyone. Can't wait to get my booking appointment through, just so when I get my scan and know everything's ok. I remember going for my scan last time and thinking, they're not gonna find anything, there's nothing there. So funny.

I have been having wee pains like that all through this pregnancy (I'm 33.4 weeks pregnant at the moment with twins!) If it's mainly down the one side and quite sharp it can be ligament pains, even early on. If you are worried though I'm sure the midwives won't mind you calling and that'll put your mind at rest.
Welcome to madmums!
