Woohooo!
Had an appointment with the consultant at the hospital today. All going well I'm going to be given the steroid injection to help mature the babies' lungs on the 18th of December, and go in on the 19th to be induced on the 20th.
It's now policy in my area to leave twins until 39 weeks, but he says as these two are big already (scans show they're about 5lbs, although I know this can be off) and my last two were big babies he's going to induce at just before the 38 week mark.
I'm going to try for a vaginal birth, twin A is head down, but as twin B is lying transverse I'm going to have an epidural for the procedure. I've been very brave and had two natural and drug-free births twice, think it's time to treat myself to some pain relief for these two.
So prayers that all goes well and I'll have two lovely healthy wee ones home for Christmas!

Oooooo cool! Really hope that they behave and make their appearance in good time. If they do hang in there, I'll share my birthday with them (25th December).
Just a tip on the steroid jab - they have to do 2 12 hours apart. They inject into your bum - ask them to do it on the same side otherwise sitting down isn't easy!

Aww I got all tearful reading that! How wonderful! I know he wasnt a twin but Eds was born at 38 weeks and was absolutely fine. He was 6lb 14oz so probably not that much bigger than each of your twins! No wonder you're exhausted!
