Sorry for the obscure title- I didn't know how to phrase this one!

I'm now 35 weeks pregnant with the twins.  I went for my ante-natal check up at the local hospital yesterday.  Everything was great- the ultra sound is indicating they are around 6lbs each and healthy.

So that was good- but as I stepped of the doors of the hospital I felt a thud on my lady bits from the inside.  It was like a pressure and uncomfortable- so much so I could hardly walk!  I felt like a numpty- I had to take wee baby steps back to my car (I went to the check up myself so I had no one to lean on).

Has anyone else had this?  I'm fine now- just wondering what on earth happened?  Is it just because I've got 12lbs ish of babies inside plus placentas, fluid and stuff and a weakened uterus as I've already carried two big bubbas?

I had it with isla chica...was very weird....and an incredibly strange sensation.  I didnt get it til i was pretty much well on my way to being fully cooked..so about the same stage as you from what I can remember.

Feels like a dull thud on the inside...feels really loud...i thought everyone heard it lol put it that way.  Bit like a bizarre tugging pulling oooof  type feeling.  Freaked me out a bit as I hadnt had it with tasja...asked the mw about it the following week..and she said it was just braxtons and not to worry about it.

I had this happen the other day, the Mw told me its because I'm a bit loose and wider down there after having 2 babies already! Made me feel really good about my bits- LOL!

Hi hun

I too had this and as it was my 2nd i had it for the alst few months.... It's due to the pressure inside and that fact that everything is dropping and resting on your femaine sections..... cold flannels to sit on etc helped but unfortuantly i didn't find much else helped, sorry.

Not long to go though....

XXX

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my second and I've had this happen a couple of times. The first time it happened we were on our way to my foetal anatomy scan (23 weeks) and we'd had to park about a quarter of a mile from the hospital because we there were no spaces left in the car park. It kept coming on and it took me so long to walk down this hill that I was almost late for my appointment I actually also had it happen this morning when I was walking back home from taking DD to school. I was fine one minute, then I felt a bump downstairs and just a sudden  and uncomfortable pressure in my lower right side. I walked like a duck all the way back from school, rubbing my lower belly LOL.

One other thing I've noticed that seems to coincide with this is the fact that this little monkey does a lot of kicking downwards. Sure enough she does kick outwards and at my ribs in usual baby fashion, but a heck of a lot of her kicking seems to be aimed at the 'exit door' LOL. George has made it a standing joke that's she's bored of waiting to be born and is trying to break out

It could just be that baby 1 is eager to come out into the world and has engaged it's head! But I have to admit I had that from about 3-4 weeks before I had both the last ones, and yes they were both over cooked on coming out.

I cant say I remember experiencing anything like that but hope you're feeling much better now.  You've not long now and with all the weight you're carrying you're bound to feel something funny down there.  You have a lot of pressure resting on a small area.  Not long now hun and it'll all be over and done with for you....then you can start on the rest of you're troubles lol.  Good luck hun.
