Well, for this pregnancy

a) I handed dh the positive test, while we were exchanging Christmas presents (that was on Old Years night, as we just arrived back from our hols in Fife, so had Christmas when we got home. I did the test as soon as we arrived back). He fell back on the bed in shock hehe!

b)Told the girls a few days later, as I was so unwell they were worried about me and kept asking if I was ok. Ruthie was so happy she cried - Rebecca was hilarious, I think every emotion possible passed over her face (the first of which was horror that me and dh had actually had sex! pmsl!) They are both so excited about it now. We haven't told Cameron yet - will do soon though.

c)Friends we just told as we spoke to them. Think most people know now.

Becky - I hope it is you soon, doll.

xxx

I can't remember the most of them, however, I remember telling my parents with ds1 by telling them I would be home at kurfew, could dad be available! lol

As for the 4th, I sent dh a text, how wimpy am I! lol  Dh hates it if I ask, what he would do if I was pg, as every time I start the subject he knows that I have that 'feeling' and knows it's gonna cost him something lol

1st pregnancy I told my partner first, cried a lot, cried some more. Then I told my sister and made her come with me to tell my mum lol I followed her round the house for about an hour, then my mum asked me what I wanted to tell her rofl Not many people knew, which was easier as it was a molar pregnancy.

2nd pregnancy was Joshua. I was being treated for trophoblastic disease (complication of molar pregnancy). I was called in for an emergancy scan, which thankfully revealled a bouncing baby boy! (my mum, and me, thought they were about to find growths of cancers!) I first told my dad. I was so scared because I wasnt supposed to get pregnant till I had the all clear, but this was very complicated lolol My dad did that really cross thing with his finger, with a huge grin plastered across his face lol He told my mum (in a cruel way - told her they found a growth then gave her the scan!!) I told my then partner the day after, then I had another scan to book in with a midwife (I was almost 5 months) and as soon as I got the thumbs up he was completely ok I told the world lol

I whimped out both times.

With Harrison, I did a test and rang df at work and told him, he was shocked as we both were but he came home with a bunch of flowers and a tiny mcfc babygro convinced it would be a boy and it was!

We didn't tell any family until I'd had my 12 week scan then I had it photo copied and glued it into plain cards with congrats granny and grandad and aunite etc..

Second time round I chickened out again, DF had gone away over night on a course so i did the test then rang him so he had a full night alone to calm down or thats what I thought!! I rang him mid afternoon and by 11pm that night he'd drove the 3.5hrs back home just to give me a kiss then drove back to his course!

We just told other people as and when we saw them, we didn't tell harrison until the latter stages as if I'd have told him sooner it would have been one long pg!

Aww some of you have such sweet ways of telling people..

With Megan we found out at the family planning clinic, i called my dad and said "guess what?" He said " You're pregnant!" Jokingly, and i said " Yes i am!" and he burst into tears!  And then i heard him screaming woohoo in the background as he'd thrown the phone at mum! then i had her on the phone " I'm pregnant" "Aww that's great news!" And she was happy too!

With Liam, it was the morning of my wedding and i said to mum " I'm due on today whats the bettin i start half way through the service!" mum just laughed and said , nah that won't happen it will be the best day of your life and winked at me! I thought nothing of it, but after the service i still hadn't come on, and she said to me then that she thought i was pregnant again! She kept it quiet as i was going to test the next morning.

Well i was indeed pregnant, however, didn't get the positive until i was 8 weeks pregnant by my dates!

I just told everyone by the phone or as i passed them, i had some mixed reactions, my close family were all pleased and couldn't wait for the new baby! Andy's family just thought we were stupid for having another so close ( i was on the pill lol! not my choice!)

So next baby i want to do something special!

Well i did my test at a work friends house and she told me. I then rang dp and told him lol. It wasn't planned and i was at work and couldn't wait i needed to know.

So we disgussed it and we wasn't sure what we wanted but then i knew there was no chance i could go through with a termination. So we decided to have a weekend to ourselfs and get our heads around it so i went back to my mums.

When i walked in i told her i was back for a few days and burst into tears. I couldn't tell her in front of my dad i was petrified lol. (I was 23). Anyway i took my mum out of the way and told her. She started laughing and asked what i was crying for, i was like but i'm pregnant hehe.

Anyway we went back to my dad and my mum told him and he broke down with tears of happyness. He was so pleased and i worried for nothing lol. I wasn't with dp when he told his mum and dad.

Then when we found out it was twins we got a scan of each baby and showed them individually to see who would realise lol that was fun. xxxx
