It was true also my last pg. Had high heart rate and doc told me the myth. He said it was a girls heart rate. And she was a girl lol. This pg is way to early to tell but the first heart rate on this pg was 135. So who knows

It's been right for me with all 5 of my kids. I was desperate for a boy on my last pregnancy and the midwife had a joke with me saying that going off the old wives tale with the heartrate it was a boy...and she was right. Maybe it's a coincidence but 5 out of 5 aint too bad is it?

I can't remember much about my lo's heatbeats as i was sidetracked with pain and telling them to fox trot oscar i'm not doing xy or z.... but i do remember looking at the monitor and seeing a low 130 so yeah is seems to be the more reliable of the ones i know.....
The other one being a ring on a string.
As with anything you can never be sure untill your holding your lo in your arms.
