Hi all

Was just wondering how long it took for you to realise that the little fluttery feelings you had were proper kicks and prods. I'm 19 weeks but still just seem to be feeling little flutterings and it's kind of worrying me that I've not really felt any proper movements yet. I can't remember timescales from my last pg.

Hi. I'm 22 + 2 and had fluttering feelings from about 14 weeks but they were very sporadic and very, very feint.

Over the last week, these have graduated to be prods and kicks, although I have to be relaxed or not doing anything to feel them. If I'm moving about or concentrating on something else, I miss them completely. I mainly get booted when I lie down.

Take care!

I don't remember what stage I felt the girls at - but it was quite early with Cameron, and really early flutterings with this one. I am feeling definite 'thuds' now - and have noticed I'm feeling them frequently throughout the day, over the last 3 days in particular. It is most noticeable when I'm sitting or lying down.

I did read in a baby book that with each subsequent pregnancy you feel movement earlier, due to having a 'slightly worn uterus'!!lol I think it just probably differs from person to person though. I do remember that Ruthie rarely 'kicked' at all - it was lots of smooth movements, and limbs slowly appearing out of one side of my bump, then disappearing again - whereas Cameron really 'kicked' me all the time!

xxx

That is perfectly normal, so long as you are still feeling movement, than I wouldn't worry. I remember that with all of mine it varied, I was feeling flutterings most of the time, with kicks only when the baby was 25-30 weeks with some of them. I did however have kicks with my first one from 16 weeks. So so long as you are feeling baby in any way it's still a good thing!

Like Vix has said its normal. A friend of mine at work, his g/f was pregnant and could never feel the baby move due to her placenta being at the front. I think it depends on the position the baby is lying to.

I never had any problems as i had 2 so they was always fighting for space

Thanks girls. Actually this is just typical. My movements have so far been sporadic and very very faint. I wasn't actually too sure if it was movement or wind lol. Today, however, the lo has decided to do nothing but move about all day. I've been feeling little movements but really low down in my tummy. Is this where they usually start, I can't remember?
