Ello Gals,

Well the title says it all... I'm really peeved off today My EDD is this Saturday and at around 6.30pm last night I was walking down the stairs when I got a really eye-wateringly painful pang in my pelvis. I stopped dead, but it only lasted a couple of seconds then eased off. However, as soon as that had stopped my lady bits started feeling really bruised. I tried to carry on cleaning up etc, but my girly bits were killing me (felt like I'd been hit between the legs with a baseball bat)and I had started with back-ache. At 7.30pm I went to collect DD from dance class and while I was stood waiting for her to come out, I got hat felt like a mild contraction. I ignored it, picked DD up and came home. From 7.30pm-9.30pm I continued to have very sore girly bits, back-ache and to get random (uncomfortable, but not agonisingly painful) contractions. I tried to keep walking round the house cos I couldn't settle. DH and my Mum were both getting all excited, but I was too distracted to care- I just felt really weird.

At around 10.30pm I went in the bath for half an hour, where I got a couple more contraction type pains, the last one actually far more painful than the previous ones had been. As my contractions weren't coming regularly, we decided to go to bed about 11.30pm, strongly suspecting we'd be going to hospital at some point during the night. However (despite a restless and uncomfortable night) I've woken up this morning and the contractions have stopped, but my back still aches and my girly bits are still really bruised feeling (though DH has checked and they don't look any different) I've called the MW and she's said that Millie-Bump's head has probably dropped right down which caused the inital pain and has also caused extra pressure making my lady bits sore and giving me (what she reckons were) severe braxton hicks last night. The thing is I've been having BH for weeks, and last night felt really different and lasted ages, so I'm really peeved off that it's looking likely it was just a false alarm.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Does anyone have any tips for easing the constant pain I'm having in my lady bits? Sorry for whinging, I'm just feeling really deflated and rubbish now

I'm afraid all I can do is sympathise, my last 2 pg's i had several false starts. And loads of pain come to think of it. There isn't much you can do, however I know from experience anything I tell you will not make it easier to deal with. I remember having loads of warm baths to ease the pain, but I would stay on your feet as much as possible, it will speed that part of labour no end. Sending you huge gentle hugs and hopig everything happens soon for you.

Aw hunny! I hope Millie-bump appears soon! you sound very uncomfortable! I had nothing like this when pg with Ben, so can't really help. Have you tired to sit on a ring or Valley Cushion to ease the pain on your lady bits? Hope its not long now
