Well the title says it all! As of the passing of yesterday I am officially overdue *poo! pap! pooey!* So much for my several hours of false labour Wednesday being an indication that she wouldn't be long- awkward lil madam is determined to make us wait!

I've tried to keep myself chilled about it after spending Thursday been thoroughly peeved off, but TBH I am really having to bite my tongue when people keep saying "Haven't you had that baby yet?" or "Come on, get on with it!"- Like I have a ruddy choice in the matter. I know it's just the sorts of normal things people say, but do they not realise I want it all over and done with more than anyone? Aside from struggling not to snap at peeps when they say stuff like that, I'm slightly more meloncholy than I was and have resigned myself to making a point of ignoring every twinge or braxton hicks with absolute determination- when I can feel her crowning I'll believe it's happening

DH and DD are both really bored of waiting now, as is my Mum (a very excited Nana-to-be LOL. Jessie is 8 and there's no signs of my brother having any interest in kids, so up until we announced I was pg with Millie-Bump she had pretty much resigned herself to the idea that she was only going to have the one grandchild) Poor Jessie cried last night cos she's fed up of waiting for her sister We've warned her all along that babies rarely come on time, but it's still obviously frustrating for an eight year old who knows we've reached the due date now and really doesn't fully understand why Millie isn't making an appearence- bless her.

DH's Mum has booked a hotel for next weekend and is bringing DH's 6 year old daughter Beckie down to see her new sister- I just really hope she's actually got here by then LOL.

I've had hot curry, pineapple, nookie and done loads of walking, but nothing seems to be shifting the lil monkey. If she doesn't come of her own accord, I'm hoping the MW can get her moving with my Stretch and Sweep on Wednesday morning. Will keep you all posted

Bless you it used to annoy me too when people ask such lame questions.... started to think of the lamest answers to make them think...

Like awww your going to have a baby soon..... no i'm going to have a cow! Really did make some people stop and think and when they thought i was serious well that was it, i just laughed and walked off.... saying ops need to go pissing myself here!!

Sorry i was a bit mean during my pg at the end.... i blame it on the pain and use pf crutches/wheelchair.....

On a serious note i hope millie bump gets her arse in gear and comes out soon..... we too are all waiting with bated breath to see pics etc....

(message to millie-bump.... ok now hunny i know your sung and warm in there but you'll be more comfy and warm in the arms of your mum and dad and big sis, surrounded with love and lots of wonderful but strange things to see.... so if you see a light, please HEAD towards the light!!! Please!)

Sounds like my two.  Max was induced after 10 days and Tom was induced after 11!! If they had their way they would've stayed in me I'm sure.

So I totally understand your frustration.

Keep your chin up, doll.

Although Ella wasn't late, I was under threat of induction due to pregnancy induced hypertension and because they thought Ella was going to be the size of a small continant. The consultant gave me 1 week to see if I would go into labour naturally and I tried EVERYTHING! I ate curry at least once a day all week, pineapple (I have pineapple!), Raspberry leaf tea, walking, bouncing on the birthing ball etc etc etc and NOTHING! I ended up changing our answerphone message to say no I haven't had the baby, we will let you know when it arrives!

I know thats no consolation, but just wanted to say hang in there and good luck with the sweep. Practically speaking, walking and sex are supposed to be the most effective. Walking for the gravety thing and sex as there are hormones in the semen that soften the cervix - so go get busy!

Aww, sending you lots of vibes to get little Millie moving.  I hope she doesn't keep you waiting for too much longer.  I'm lucky enough to never go over with any of my 5 so I cant say I know how you're feeling but I can remember the wanting it to be over feeling very well.  Good luck on Wednesday, though I hope she makes an appearence before that.
