I am almost 25 weeks pregnant and all is going well.....most importantly the baby is very healthy.

I had a scan last week and I was told the baby is breech but not to worry as at this stage its too early to get concerned as the baby can turn.

Well I am still worried, Rachel was a very easy birth and I really really don't want a C-Section.

Is there any thing I can do to encourage the baby to turn as with every week that goes by he/she is getting bigger and I am afraid he is going to get too cosy and big and not be able to turn.

I hope you have all been taking care of yourselfs and that you are all well.

Im not an expert and have never been through it but i dont think its a concern till a bit later on as there should still be enough room for bubs to flip easy but they say dont slouch in a chair sit upright or spend times on all 4 rocking just dont let rachel see or she will be jumping on your back expecting rides around the room lol Good luck and try not to worry xxx

Adam was breech for a while and I was told to get on all fours and rock back and forwards. I must say, I felt like a right wally and Sophie thought I was playing at horsies, but, it worked !

Ben was still breech at 32 weeks and I still managed to get him to turn, so I wouldn't worry about it. like Hazy, I spent my time on my hands and knees too!! It is a bit silly but it worked for me too! Theres other ways too to turn lo so don't worry about it too much yet. hth

Couldn't tell youhow to fix it, but Fred was breech up to the last 5 weeks, they can turn themselves all the way up to about 34 weeks, sometimes past that too. Your midwife will be able to give you more advice.

I've heard that the all fours thing can work but when I was pg with Hannah it made me feel sick and lightheaded so I couldn't do it - I have heard that playing music very low down can work as baby will try and get it's head to it...I tried moxibustion (chinese thing where they burned stinky candles by my feet, cost 40 quid!!) and pulsitilla (homeopathy) - you can only do these later on in pg - neither worked for me and both Ellie and Hannah were breech altho they were the whole way along, in fact hannah never changed position from her 20 week scan.  I wouldn't worry too much as you've had a head-down baby before and it is actually much too early to worry...they say that up to 34 weeks it can quite easily shift about...good luck!

All of mine were up and down like yoyo's from about 24 weeks onwards.
But luckily, they all managed to be head down in time... one was cutting it very close though!
There's plenty of time still for bubs to turn, so try not to worry about it too much yet.

nothing i can say that hasn't been said already
thomas was un-diagnosed breech. They discovered Literally as he was
on his way out

i would suggest speaking to you MW to see if they can take you in and
help the baby turn.
i know someone who went in on mon to have this done but the baby
had turned by itself.

you have plenty time yet so try to relax. in the meantime - don't walk
anywhere ... i would suggest crawling !
take care
x
